Sprue cutters smelt of rust amd oil and the hinge had rust on it. The tools were scratched as if previously used. The sprue cutters would get jammed in the closed state and need to be pulled open.

Lovely starter set with everything you need to begin assembling wargaming miniatures. I am super happy with this kit.

I bought this set for the spru cutters, they are sharp with a flat cutting face that allows you to get close to the model part. They are ideal for 1/72 and larger kits but i think that they may struggle to cut parts off cleanly on smaller scale kits due to the jaw size. The small cutting mat is quite handy to have and always great to get an extra knife, spare blades and a flat needle file.

Top quality modelling tool starter set for beginner to intermediate skill level. Would however recommend a larger cutting mat to accommodate at least 1/72 scale kits.
