Description

Panzer Kampfwagen VIII Maus, the awesome super-heavy tank designed during World War II in Germany. It is equipped with a 128mm KwK44 L55 gun and gun and a coaxial 75MM KWK L36.5 auxiliary gun, with 240-60 mm armour. Mouse ultra-heavy tanks featured an experimental electric drive system, but with a weight of 188 tons, it could only reach 18 kilometers per hour.

Only two Maus tank prototypes were produced during World War II, they were used by the German military for a variety of tests, but never used in combat. At the end of the war the Soviets seized the two prototypes which were in varying degrees of destruction. Later the number two turret was mounted on vehicle one's chassis and taken to the Soviet Union for testing. In 1952. After the Soviet's Maus testing was completed, she was transported to Kubinka Tank Museum for permanent display.
